We are pleased to announce the Funky Festival 2024, featuring some of the biggest names in Funky music. Funky is not just a style of music, not just a realm of rhythms and colours, but also a way of life charged with positive energy, equal to fun and joie de vivre. It carries with it the vibrant sounds and grooves that are inextricably linked to the legends of the style in the Funky universe. The festival will feature three iconic and defining bands that will guarantee a rocking atmosphere. Imre Suri and László Jazzkovács, the well-known Hungarian DJs of the Get Funky Party, will take care of the transitions between the bands, and their personalities are the best guarantee to enhance the party. Earth Wind & Fire experience by Al McKay - Best Of
Led by legendary guitarist Al McKay, Earth, Wind & Fire is made up of some of the best studio and live musicians in Los Angeles. They perform Super Group hits in original tones and atmospheres, maintaining the high quality of the EWF sound, their music is rhythm-rich and effervescent.
The band's history dates back to 1990, when Al McKay revived the EWF spirit as the "LA Allstars" and later renamed it the "Al McKay Allstars". On their world tour, they will recreate the experience of the EWF's heyday in the 70s and 80s. They are considered the best funky band on the planet.

Martha High & The Soul Cookers - Best of
Martha High, the Goddess of Soul who accompanied James Brown for 35 years, brings her musical legacy and greatest hits to the Funky Festival. Martha still tours regularly with Maceo Parker's band. She is recognized for her constant musical contributions to the history of soul music, including her 1968 Boston Garden concert on the night of Martin Luther King's assassination. The Soul Cookers' brilliant playing has been received with great enthusiasm by critics and audiences alike, tracing old and new tunes from Jazz to Soul, Blues to Funky.
The concert is organised by Green Stage Production, whose motto is:
"Protecting our Earth, and therefore our conscious goal is to calculate the Ecological Footprint of each event from the data of energy consumption required for the realization of each concert or performance we organize, and as a result of these calculations, to plant as many trees in our country that can compensate for this ecological footprint created".
MVM Dome
MVM Dome is the seventh largest indoor event venue in Europe. Its capacity for sports events and concerts is significantly higher than that of the Budapest Sports Arena. It has 20,022 seats; a total of 50,000 square metres of floor space; innovative, rearrangeable spaces for many indoor sports (handball, basketball and volleyball, futsal, ice hockey, tennis, skating) as well as certain athletic, equestrian and motorcycle competitions, and even swimming competitions and water polo matches in the mobile pool. Through the six entrances to the building, spectators can enter the arena’s interior using eight escalators, leading to the walk-through grandstands accessible on three levels. The structure of the building’s exterior is reminiscent of muscle fibres: the light strips placed on the outward-leaning, elliptical sections not only embrace the building, but the light shows, programmed using various colours, appear to set the entire building in motion. There is a 600 square metre display on the façade of the building. The Main Entrance leads to an impressive foyer, where visitors will be greeted by a grandiose hanging light installation of 848 handmade glass tubes. The programmable sports lighting is also suitable for HDTV broadcasts of the highest-level world competitions, as well as for super-slow-motion recordings due to flicker free technology. The lighting system also plays an important role in the events and concerts, as it is suitable for changing the colour temperature of the auditorium, which means that the lighting functions can be changed without rearranging the arena, only through the pre-programmed lighting controls. This design is the first and is unique in Europe for luminaires of this power. A central display (cube) provides information in the auditorium during the events.
