Sex is perhaps the most fascinating subject of all time, influencing all our lives, and is at home in literature and psychology - but how does sex make the world go round? And how does it run us? What are our personal experiences of it and what are society's?

Femininity, masculinity, repression and finding ourselves - sex is not just physicality, sex is psychology. According to scientific research and numerous surveys, ninety percent of our human thoughts revolve around sex, our most commonly used words are sexual, reinforcing this, most borderline situations, tragedies and fulfillments, cathartic experiences in art also revolve around sex and eroticism.

If literature is a reflection of life, it is indeed exciting to discover through the erotic, sexual works of writers - our own. Boccaccio's Decameron, the Canterbury Tales, the Marquis of Sade, Justine or Casanova, and Hungarian literature: Reviczky, Ady and the "sex maniac" Lőrinc Szabó, Sándor Weöres, the playful poet who wrote erotic ballads and created Psyché - just a few of the names we will be evoking at our January evening.

Sex - how does its presence, absence, desire, repression, obsessive preoccupation with sexual fantasies play out in our everyday lives and in dealing with the problems of everyday life? How can physical contact become a source of pleasure, and what place does the soul have here? Join us on 26 January, from 19.00 for the fourth evening of Analysis (Society), where sex will be the central theme with the two hosts of the series, psychologist Lili Rácmolnár and literary writer Anna Juhász.
