Valentine's Day group star romance
2024-02-14T17:00:00.000Z
The special Valentine's Day programme will start in the auditorium, where we will present a unique show about the romance of the heavens: from the planet of love, Venus, to the Heart Nebula, the Soul Nebula and the Garnet Star, to the naughty adventures of Greek star legends.
In a setting of neoclassical observatory domes in a charming park of ancient trees, the winter moon crescent smiles on lovers. Entering our Budapest dome, we admire the reddish granite star known as the Star of Lovers, the Perseus Cluster, the cradle of the Orion Nebula.

Schedule
After a short stroll, we'll look for Luna, the eternal muse of romance, through the telescopes on the atmospheric roof terrace of our Observatory. You can take home an image of the craters and seas you admire on the Moon's line separating light and darkness with our special mobile phone adapter.
Of course, cloudy skies won't stand in the way of your adventures. In cloudy weather, you can get a glimpse of the world of shooting stars. We can also hold in our hands the meteorites of the Matauselim, which have made their cosmic journey. With the help of our polarising microscopes, we can admire the delicate textures of these unearthly rocks, which rival the works of impressionist painters.
Finally, as a cosmic memento, couples can take home a Polaroid photo of themselves. The background for the couple's photo will be either the giant telescope at the Svábhegy Observatory or one of the magnificent astrophotographs on display in our auditorium.
