"If all I do is understand, where does that leave me?" - Literature Therapy Group

"If I always understand, where am I?" - Lőrinc Szabó rightly asks. Of course, being humble, helpful and compassionate is a great virtue, but only as long as we are able to take our own needs into account and take their legitimacy for granted. With low self-esteem, we experience constant self-criticism, anxiety and perfectionism in both our social relationships and our performance, and even poorer health, because our arousal (irritability) is higher as a result of the constant effort and need to conform.

Schedule
Literary texts (poems, short stories, excerpts from novels) can hold up a mirror to our functioning, but in a way that the experience can be heartfelt. It is only in this way that a thought that is born can be translated into action; this is what literary therapy, including expressive writing exercises, helps us to do. Participation does not require literary knowledge or talent, just an open mind.
Applications are open to both men and women over the age of 18.
