❋ THE LOSS OF THE BREAK-UP

Whether we have broken up or they have broken up with us, the end of a long-term relationship is usually a crisis. Changes occur in many areas of our lives at once, emotions surface, anger, disappointment, sadness stir, we blame each other, struggle with our conscience and can't imagine if we will ever be okay again.

Like many other losses, a break-up is a complex grieving process, made more difficult by the fact that the loved one is out there, but out of reach, unable to ease our pain, unable to ask for help, because we are the ones who have to move away.

In the post-breakup period, we often experience sleep deprivation, reduced thinking, constant stress, nervousness, frequent crying, irritability and increased feelings of loneliness. Often we do not want to overburden our friends or our environment, so we turn inward and suffer alone.

❋ GROUP LOSS PROCESSING

Experience has shown that it is easier and faster to cope with loss if we share our feelings with others. It can be a relief to know that we are not alone, that others are going through the same experience, and that we can gain more insight into our own loss through their stories. Here, we can understand what our environment and our acquaintances react to with incomprehension or helplessness.

Each of the 10 weeks will look at loss through a different theme. What we will talk about:

- The history of the relationship, the reasons for the break-up, how you work in relationships

- Ways you can take ownership to make everyday life easier

- Their different frustrations, the changes that happen as a result of the breakup

- The future, what you want from your future relationships

- Our own responsibilities and opportunities for growth

All the while, we are building an accepting, loving community, getting to know each other, and the aim is that group members can support each other through this difficult time.

The group starts with 6-10 people.

We have led several loss groups together, and our goal is the same as always: to help the members of the group as best we can and to create an atmosphere in which they can best help each other.

❋ FORMER GROUP MEMBERS TOLD US:

"I liked everyone, it was nice to be with my "fellow travellers", knowing that everyone was there for the same goal. You were very empathetic and open to us, your understanding attention was helpful."

"I would recommend the group to everyone. This community has been for me a learning, deepening, opening inward and outward. I experienced a lot of kindness, pleasant energies in the group, and the ability to connect with others on this topic, deepen with others, empathize with others' situations, learn from their experiences. You are kind and kindly honest, you have good retention, you connect easily, you have a sense of humour. You are persistent in your search for solutions. Thank you for what you have given me. "
