A 14. alkalommal megrendezett Van Művészi Vénád? nemzetközi pályázat témája: a FOOD (élelem, étel, élelmiszer, táplálék). Az elsőre talán közönségesnek ható téma számos izgalmas megközelítési lehetőséget kínál. A táplálékok jelentik a biológiai létezésünk egyik alapját. Az életben maradásunkhoz ennünk kell. Hogy mit, az sok mindentől függ: hol élünk, mihez jutunk hozzá, fiatalok vagy öregek, egészségesek vagy betegek vagyunk.

We cannot ignore the social, economic and political dimension of food. To name but a few: food shortages due to environmental impacts, unequal distribution, social disparities; hunger; food waste in the developed world; unhealthy nutrition in disadvantaged regions and social groups... We are living in a time here in Central and Eastern Europe - not least because of the war in Ukraine - when new emphases, new norms, new relations are being created in relation to food.
The exhibition presents the best juried entries to the competition.

The Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art, located in Müpa, is the first museum in Hungary to exclusively collect contemporary art. In addition to a permanent exhibition of the collection donated by the Ludwigs and a number of temporary exhibitions, the museum aims to raise awareness of the works and their creators through special publications and a variety of art education and art education programmes.
