One of the turning points in his life was when his mother showed him a newspaper article about a severely disabled man. He understood that he was not alone in having such a difficult fate. The second was when, at the age of fifteen, he read chapter 9 of the Gospel of John, in which Jesus Christ meets a man who has been blind since birth. When the people asked why this man was born this way, Jesus replied that it was so that the works of God might be made manifest through him. The purpose and meaning of his life was ultimately to tell his fellow human beings about God's love and to empower them to fulfil their dreams.
After high school, she studied accounting and financial planning and earned a degree. With a lot of practice and willpower, she tried to tackle the challenges that came her way every day. She learned to write, type, use a computer, comb her hair, brush her teeth and shave with the help of her two toes.
At the age of 17, he began giving sermons and lectures at schools and church events. He now gives lectures to packed houses all over the world, has set up his own non-profit organisation (Life Without Limbs), and publishes books and films.
He currently lives in Texas with his wife and four healthy children.
