JAZZ TALENT FAIR: Emingó
Emingó's intention is to represent jazz as an approach, to show the legacy of their predecessors through the personalities of their members. Their music is characterised by repetitive, simple world music melodies, 12/8 African rhythms and hip-hop grooves. Although the themes and arrangements are very specific, the band places great emphasis on improvisation in the solos. They predominantly play original compositions.
Schedule
Balázs Szabó is a student of Gábor Kollmann and János Ávéd at the Bartók Konzi. He is also intensively involved in composing and producing music. Ádám Pecze's versatility is undoubted, having studied percussion and trombone in addition to piano, and in 2020 he graduated in media design. He is currently a student of jazz piano at Bartók Konzi.
Botond Horváth studied guitar under Péter Cseh, Bálint Gyémánt, Sándor Horányi, Gábor Juhász and Szabolcs Oláh. He is currently a second-year student at the Liszt Academy. András Ambrus's wide-ranging interests are reflected in the fact that while he passed the OKJ exam in jazz bass guitar at the Bartók Konzi in 2023 as a student of Tibor Csuhaj-Barna, he is also a student of the BME's Master's programme in cognitive neuroscience. Together with Botond they are members of the Sárközi Dina Quintet, Zækar and Parvaró. Máté Horváth and Illés Arató both studied jazz drums with Tamás Geröly and Dániel Serei at the Bartók Konzi. Máté is a member of the Sárközi Dina Quintet and Illés is a member of Pandora Projekt, Public Field and Ohnody.
