TÁP Theatre launched its TÁP VARIETÉ, Theatre and Performance series in November 2005, entitled All Bad Varieté, at the Süss Fel Nap club in Budapest. The basic essence of "Wrong Theatre", which these performances attempt to achieve, is to defy current trends and experiment with innovative theatrical solutions. One of its most important aims is to release the anxiety of "being good", which it can best achieve through liberated, inspired, improvisational play, which at the same time deepens the actors' mastery of their craft and enriches their artistic means of expression. The actors, dancers and musicians are always attached to the production, but many of them are regulars.

In 2006, Minden Rossz Varieté won the main prize for the best performance at the XII Alternative Theatre Review in Szeged.

The TÁP theatre company is united by a passionate commitment to bad theatre. There is too much good theatre in the world. Too many good actors, too many good directors. Too many good plays, too many good performances. Who doesn't get tired of great lighting, sets, costumes? Who hasn't been lulled to sleep by brilliant incidental music? Bad theatre is a rare treasure, becoming rarer. We must treasure this treasure. We need to cherish, to PRESERVE the ancient tradition of bad theatre, to preserve it for future generations.
