The Creative Ceramics Retreat gives you the chance to paint your own dinnerware and awaken your creativity. Sessions will include hand-building objects that will be fired using ancient techniques.
With our experienced and enthusiastic team, you are guaranteed to find your own style and creative voice. We cater for all skill levels and experience levels, so everyone from beginners to advanced will find a challenge to suit them. The Ceramic Retreat Package includes:
-Painting set with Bianka from Parbiart Studio, including 6 deep plates, 6 flat plates and 6 mugs.
important! Dinnerware cannot be ready until the end of the last day, so they will be available for pick up afterwards either as a GLS parcel or at the Parbiart Studio store opening in April.
-Hand-built ceramic building with Adam from Parbiart Studio, where we can build with hand-building techniques, and then fired together on the last night.
Adam is an archaeologist by profession, and one of his specialties is making replicas of prehistoric pottery, which he builds himself using the technique our ancestors did, with their own two hands, without any help. This occupation helps us to connect with our roots.
-1.5-2 hours of art therapy a day with Enikő Váczy, an art therapist:
The session involves relaxation, stories, poems and music through nature in the here and now. We will work with different art techniques, watercolour, clay, oil pastels, powder pastels and montage techniques.
-1 hour yoga and meditation daily with yoga instructor Edit Tikász:
Since we will be sitting relatively long hours throughout the day, we would like to offer the opportunity to invigorate the body-mind-spirit triad with an hour of relaxed yoga daily.
There is only one accommodation in Bakonszeg that we can use during this time, it is an old farmhouse that has been converted into a guesthouse, so we share rooms and have several 150 wide beds available where you can rest your head after the work.
We welcome you to the camp on the evening of 23 May, and the collective work will start on Friday and run until Sunday 26 May.
We will organize carpools to get down, as Bakonszeg is a 2.5-3 hour drive from Budapest, where you can discuss getting down together, but for those who would prefer to arrive by public transport, Bakonszeg is easily accessible.
Meals will be available vegetarian/vegan with a daily hot meal provided at an extra cost. There are shops in the village, but if anyone has special food sensitivities or other preferences, please let us know.
The cost of the retreat, which includes accommodation, rent, ingredients and workshops:

If you are requesting an invoice as an entrepreneur or company and not as an individual, you will have to pay +27% more and we will need your tax number (in which case we can invoice you as a VAT self-employed person.)
We can accept cancellations up to 12 May 2024 and refund 100% of the amount paid, but from 13 May 2024 we cannot refund the amount.
We welcome all adults who do not have a mental illness or are not under psychiatric treatment and are in good health.
