Színpadra fel! – Laura Lackey's Rhythm Revue

As part of supporting the mission of the House of Music Hungary, the Fringe program launched in 2024. Through an open call announced in three categories, we provide performance opportunities at various locations throughout the House for emerging musicians and amateur bands at the beginning of their careers, as well as for street musicians, music schools, and music workshops. In the Take the Stage! series, talented emerging musicians and amateur music groups (bands, vocal ensembles, mixed formations, etc.) who are at the start of their careers and have had little opportunity to introduce themselves to a wider audience perform. This time, Laura Lackey’s Rhythm Revue will perform on the Outdoor Stage.

Hot jazz, swing, blues, gospel, americana, and whatever else may come up. Laura Lackey is a singer-songwriter originally from the United States who has made Hungary her home. Performing with a musically free-spirited ensemble of constantly changing size and composition formed around her, she always presents a fresh and exciting program. The concert will primarily feature well-known swing and jazz classics, old country songs, and her own original compositions.
