Electro Rakpart // The National Celebration on Műegyetem Rakpart
On August 19 and 20, Műegyetem Rakpart will transform into an internationally acclaimed electronic music venue, where the contemporary electronic music scene meets Budapest’s iconic panorama of the Danube.

A purpose-built main stage will welcome internationally acclaimed stars such as Siberian-born Nina Kraviz, a true electro legend, and Christian Löffler, who moves between the worlds of ambient, techno and house.
Alongside international stars, audiences will also hear iconic figures from Hungary’s electronic music scene, including Sikztah and Tolo + Falcao, the duo behind the LavaLava event series. Innovative LED installations and lighting technology will make the performances even more distinctive and spectacular, further enhancing the festive party atmosphere. Over two days, Elektro Rakpart’s music programme will bring a fresh sound to the August 20 celebrations, showing that younger generations can also connect with our traditions through their own cultural world.

**About the celebrations:**
This year’s August 20 celebrations will differ in many ways from what we have become accustomed to in recent years. Using innovative visual technology, we will tell the story of Hungary through an exciting yet accessible contemporary reinterpretation, making our shared heritage even more immersive. Although the approach and tools are modern, the aim is not to overwrite tradition, but to create an opportunity to connect with our shared past and future through technology and storytelling.
