VIVA Filmklub: Aftersun – Volt egyszer egy nyár
The VIVA Film Club is back, now featuring “Isten Hozott.”
The first screening will be Charlotte Wells’ film *Aftersun*.
The film follows 11-year-old Sophie and her young father, Calum, on their vacation together in Turkey in the late 1990s. Twenty years later, Sophie tries to piece together, from these memories, the father she knew as a child and the man she couldn’t quite see back then.

*Aftersun* is Charlotte Wells’s first feature film, starring Paul Mescal and Frankie Corio. It works with few grand gestures: family videos, small moments left over from the vacation, half-finished sentences, and fragments of memory pile up on top of one another. It’s only gradually that it becomes clear what we’ve actually been watching.
After the screening, we’ll talk about the film with surprise guests. The film club will be hosted by Zoltán Kővári, creator of *Isten Hozott*.
