Georg and Doris have raised their children in comfort, security, and love. Now that they have left for university, the house has suddenly emptied out, offering a chance to start a new life. Georg imagines this new chapter with another, younger woman, while Doris desperately clings to setting things right and going to therapy. A battle breaks out, with increasingly entertaining and deeply human twists that pull more and more characters into the fray, where you never know where the next explosion will come from.
