Schedule

Amateur and professional performers invite the audience to explore a more nuanced image of masculinity: an experiment with roles, representations, and the embrace of vulnerability and emotions. A process-based performance about masculinity, the codes inscribed in the body, and their reinterpretation. Following Queendom, which focused on female representations and the male gaze, the director has now gathered kings to show what happens when we look at them differently.

“The king rules over us, even if he is wise and understanding. But what happens when we look into his eyes? What if the rigidity encoded in masculinity softens and transforms into touch? Why do so many of us feel that our fathers didn’t love us enough?” (Veronika Szabó)
