Perfumer Jean-Baptiste Grenouille is sentenced to death for the murder of thirteen women. Grenouille, a young man incapable of forming human connections, possesses a sense of smell so refined that he can distinguish every single ingredient within a scent. This gift proves to be both his undoing and the cause of the women's tragic fates. Through a fateful accident, he kills a girl after becoming captivated by her exquisite scent. Grenouille’s sole desire is to experience that fragrance again—and he will go to any lengths to achieve it...
