In a small village, sometime in the middle of the 19th century, two families are preparing for their children's weddings. Everyone is happy, except for the two young people who are getting married. Victor and Victoria meet for the first time on the eve of the wedding. At the wedding rehearsal, Victor gets confused with the text of the marriage vows, he goes to the forest to practice the text. Eventually, he gets so into his role that he pulls the wedding ring to the root of an old tree.
However, the root is not what it seems. Against Victor's will, he is engaged to the Dead Bride, whose heart has long ceased to beat, but he is constantly searching for true love and a companion who will share his eternal peace with him.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
