Film Synopsis
József Simon (György Cserhalmi), a taxi driver, is robbed of ten thousand forints by two elegantly dressed elderly female passengers. This is the very sum he has painstakingly earned to repay his debts. When it becomes clear that the thieves are professional criminals, seeking justice through legal means seems hopeless. Simon therefore launches a one-man campaign using the methods of the underworld: he robs, forges documents, takes hostages, and blackmails others. As his actions grow increasingly ruthless, he becomes more and more proficient in the criminal world himself.
He eventually recovers his money and exposes the swindlers. But his “victory” comes at a price.
