This summer, we’re bringing the bustle of downtown to the banks of the Danube, the lifeblood of Budapest’s dawns. On Jane Haining Embankment, just below Vigadó Square, a wave of concerts, exhibitions, and markets awaits you all summer long.

The Dragonflyers are a four-piece instrumental fusion

band that cuts through the

soundwaves with low, fast notes. Their name and core concept are derived from the dragonfly

— this elegant yet extremely fast creature inspires

their musical world. Their music blends the frenzied tempo of D’n’B and techno,

the slippery grooves of UK garage, and the raw

pulses of trip-hop—all without words.

The songs are the result of a collaboration between Kristóf Balla (keys), Áron Sárosi (bass), Attila Telek (drums),

and Balázs Raboczki (sax). The entire

album features an organic, live sound, is instrumental and improvisational, and is built on D’n’B,

UK garage, techno, and trip-hop foundations, supplemented with samples.
