Viktor Szeri’s new piece is an ode to the naked male body and intimacy, inspired by the genre of the circle dance and Arthur Schnitzler’s scandalous, sexually charged drama *Reigen*, published in 1897.

The circle motif symbolizes togetherness, community, and continuity, while also reflecting the architectural elements and spatial layout of traditional bathhouses—which have been venues for homoerotic encounters and fantasies for millennia. The performance also evokes the androgynous figures and dynamics of Henri Matisse’s painting *The Dance*: the hidden connections within the choreography and the liberating power of movement unfold.

Szeri immerses himself in a sensual and immersive way in the hidden world of pleasure, sexuality, and nudity, challenging the social prejudices and taboos surrounding intimacy between men.
