Gábor Bódy is undeniably one of the most iconic, internationally renowned, and paradigmatic figures in Hungarian experimental film. His body of work as a director is the most emblematic example of the fusion of theoretical approach and subversive artistic practice, which redefined not only Hungarian but also international neo-avant-garde cinema. His legacy plays a central role not only in the history of the Central and Eastern European moving-image-based visual counterculture but also in its future possibilities.
