Tarcali utca 20. // Budapest100
A five-unit apartment building—and yet a family home… a very family-oriented one. The builder’s daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, and great-great-granddaughter were all born and have lived—or are currently living—in this house. Each generation contributes to the program: the builder himself, his descendants who preserve the house and the family’s unity, his daughter with her 1944 siege diary, his granddaughter with the history of the house and the family, his great-granddaughter with her architectural work, and his great-great-granddaughter with a concert.

Schedule
Programs include self-guided tours and an exhibition—featuring the building’s plans and history, works by the Tripartitum Architectural Workshop, and the 1944 siege diary of the builder’s daughter—as well as guided tours (1:00–2:00 p.m., 3:00–4:00 p.m., 5:00–6:00 PM) and on Saturday from 6:00–7:00 PM “Spring Harmonies” – Classical music concert performed by students of the Academy of Music: Songs and arias, violin, cello, and piano music. Júlia Schuszter (vocals), Lili Sára Varga (violin), Emma Csákvári (cello), and Barnabás Kincses (piano).

Budapest
The best things to do in Budapest! Several medieval bridges connect the 2 sides of the city that give it its name: Buda and Pest. Cruising along the Danube is a great way to see Budapest in all its glory.
