LET’S GET LOST IN WALKING!

May
16

Schedule

🚶 Have you ever walked home instead of getting into a car or hopping on a bus? Have you ever wandered aimlessly through the city, rediscovering Budapest’s hidden corners? Have you ever admired how the city’s residents go about their daily lives on Budapest’s living “model,” of which you are also a part? 🏙️

👉 At our joint event with Turbina, you can explore walking from a whole new perspective. Lea Novák and Szonja Urbán—residents of the Liszt Institute in Sofia and the Nine Elephants public space festival—along with Zsófia Máté, curator at the Ludwig Museum, will discuss topics such as the artistic value of walking, shifts in perspective, the four-part “Metro here, metro there” walking series, and the upcoming October exhibition at the Ludwig Museum titled *“The Walking Man – The Art of Walking.”*

🏛️ During the event, you’ll also get to learn about Budapest’s new pedestrian strategy, presented by Judit Rab, Head of Public Space and Transport Infrastructure Development at BKK. The goal is to make walking in Budapest an enjoyable experience for everyone, encouraging more people to choose walking both for transportation and recreation. 🟣

Join us this Saturday at 4 PM on the open riverside at Jane Haining quay! 🌳
