Magidom’s colourful indie-pop floats between shoegaze melancholy and a kind of cosmic uplift. Their lyrics stay close to everyday life, searching for answers to human questions—sometimes in an honest, self-critical tone, sometimes playful and ironic. At Babel Kertem they will not only bring their well-known favourites, but also songs from their upcoming new album.
The evening opens with Liana, one of the most exciting new voices on the Hungarian alternative scene in recent years. They describe their sound as dreamfolkpop—a style where many influences coexist. Their music is shaped by folk traditions and a sense of enchantment, but also by soul, pop, and classical music.
