BENCE MÓZES, recipient of a special prize at the Béla Szakcsi Lakatos Piano Competition, is one of the most outstanding talents among the younger generation of pianists. A sophomore in the Jazz Department at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, he already possesses a mature musical vision and remarkable technical skill. His playing combines a respect for the finest jazz traditions with fresh energy and a unique perspective.
With his compelling, post-bop-inspired playing, he earned three special prizes at the Béla Szakcsi Lakatos International Jazz Piano Competition. His music is characterized by a celebration of life, vitality, and creative improvisation, while the legacy of the masters of classic jazz can also be heard in his playing.
The other members of the trio are also familiar to Budapest’s jazz audience. Bass guitarist DÁVID CSIKÓ and drummer GÁBOR RIGÓ are also students at the Liszt Academy of Music, and despite their young age, they are already regular fixtures on the capital’s jazz scene. Together, they form a group that embodies the finest traditions of modern mainstream jazz, while engaging the audience with a fresh and exciting sound.
