England suffers from dictatorship in the not-so-distant future. Propaganda is pouring out of the TV, the secret police keep everyone in terror. Evey, the young girl, is caught in the street one night, freed from the throat of death by a mysterious figure, V. The man wears the mask of Guy Fawkes, a rebel executed four hundred years ago. Together with his companions, Fawkes wanted to blow up the parliament in order to free the country from tyranny. But the assassination failed, the conspirators killed him. Little by little, Evey learns about V's past, which feeds his desire for revenge. And while he himself travels through the dictatorship's prisons, he realizes that V is preparing for the same thing that Fawkes was doing at the time.

Bem Cinema
In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
