No matter how much the coolest guys in the neighborhood ask Bianca out on a date, she never goes. It’s not that she’s overly shy, but her grumpy father has decided that as long as Bianca’s older sister, Kat, is stuck at home, her younger sister isn’t allowed to go out partying either. Kat, however, is an unbearable, rude brat—no one dares to mess with her. Until a guy shows up who wants Bianca more than the rest. For a goal that’s anything but saintly, he hires Patrick Verona, this young man with a mysterious past who seems fearless, to seduce the sullen Kat. The plan isn’t simple, but carrying it out is much more complicated. More young lovers emerge, the couples shift a bit, no one understands anything, and in the end, perhaps everyone finds the one they deserve.
