Finisszázs - Rész és egész

The Faur Zsófi Gallery is delighted to invite you to the closing event of the group exhibition *Part and Whole*, which begins at 6.00 pm on 26 August. The exhibiting artists are: Áron Gábor, Bíborka Lina Gacsályi, Zoltán Lublóy, Balázs Magyari, Márton Romvári, Nóra Szirmai, Szabolcs Szolnoki and András Végh. During the event, there will be an opportunity to meet the artists and engage in informal conversation.

The exhibition attempts to explore tensions within a space where diverse universes converge. A closer examination of the details resolves these apparent contradictions, thereby revealing a system of relationships that can be defined as a whole. The works presented in the space create a dialogue with the viewer whilst delicately balancing between the concepts of wholeness and fragmentation.

The parts and details represent a divergent narrative, whilst the elusive whole lies hidden beneath the surface. The surfaces of the images are at times heavily layered, whilst at other times they create a softer, more weightless atmosphere. The details appearing in the exhibited sculptures carry this idea forward just as much as those in the paintings. Their relationship to one another evokes at times a sense of permanence, at others a sense of uncertainty.
