Schedule
The songs—always guitar-driven yet incorporating a wide range of stylistic elements—along with the energetic performance style, Lovasi’s iconic lyrics, and the polyphonic vocal themes that emerged in the band’s final years have made Kiscsillag one of the most distinctive, unique-sounding, boldly experimental, and ever-evolving acts. In the current lineup, alongside the two founders, Gábor Leskovics (PUF) and András Lovasi (Kispál és a Borz), Dávid Szesztay—who has now risen to the level of singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist—plays, while Imre Hajba plays bass and Ferenc Bajkai sits behind the drums.
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
