The band, which got its start in Belgium, quickly gained fame for its deeply personal songs; it has won two MIA Awards and performed at numerous major European music festivals.
The project’s distinctive sound is a blend of 1970s piano ballads, 1960s “sunshine pop,” indie folk, and experimental recording techniques. As an openly gay artist, Denturck explores themes such as sexuality, queer history, identity, and community resilience in his songs. Fans of artists like David Bowie, Sufjan Stevens, or Rufus Wainwright will discover a similar emotional depth in his music.
• Dressed Like Boys (Debut Album – August 2025): An 11-track debut album featuring fan favorites such as “Lies,” “Pinnacles,” “Jaouad,” and the queer anthem “Stonewall Riots Forever.”
• And Then I Woke Up (Upcoming album – Spring 2027): The highly anticipated second studio album. The title track was released as a single in September 2026.
Following a hugely successful 2026 festival season—during which they performed at festivals such as Rock Werchter, Best Kept Secret, Sziget, and Pukkelpop—Dressed Like Boys is currently on a European tour.

A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
