Now known as the A38 Ship, this 1,000-metric-ton barge—which once transported iron ore—arrived in Budapest after an adventurous journey, and ever since it docked at the foot of the Petőfi Bridge, it has been providing the city with a sea of experiences year after year.

The A38 tour is also a must-see event, offering a true behind-the-scenes experience: we’ll walk through the ship’s winding spaces—both familiar and hidden from the public—and explore the original ship components, the concert hall designed with unique acoustic solutions, the backstage area converted from the old engine room, the stern, and the studios.

Along the way, we’ll talk about how the A38 operates, its groundbreaking technical solutions, the crew serving on deck, the legendary performers, and ourselves—the people who make up the Ship’s audience. We’ll look back on the early days: the struggles to earn the trust of the international music scene, the chaotic opening, and how the Ship became Hungary’s first true international live music club.
