Schedule
On October 24, Budapest Jungle will host a true pioneer of the genre, as Rupert Parkes—aka Photek—takes his place behind the decks. Anyone who delved even a little into the world of broken beats in the mid-’90s hardly needs an introduction to these samurai-inspired beats, crafted with surgical precision. With classics like the *The Hidden Camera* EP, released on Metalheadz, and the *Modus Operandi* album under his belt, Photek completely redefined jungle’s rhythmic formulas back in the day.
Among his dark, film-score-inspired masterpieces—often drawing on Japanese culture—Ni Ten Ichi Ryu stands out, inspired by samurai swordfighting techniques. But Rings Around Saturn, Consciousness, Rain, and Hidden Camera are also landmark works.
From his early period, it’s also worth exploring the music he released under pseudonyms such as Aquarius, Studio Pressure, Special Forces, and many others.
Although in recent years he has mostly ventured into the world of Hollywood film scores, on this evening he returns to his roots to show, from behind the decks, where he stands today.
The lineup of local performers is truly special as well. Cadik has been venturing more into the world of 140 BPM music these days, so his jungle set before Photek promises to be something special. Joining him will be the legendary DJ Ren and Emilio, representing the new generation, who will each spin the best of their music.

Akvárium
As they describe themselves, it is Budapest's most frequented venue, which is also multifunctional. Akvárium is great for award ceremonies, afternoon coffees and, most importantly, concerts, thanks to the well-picked, cross-genre selection.
