It's hard to define what Amoeba is, but it makes it all the easier to enjoy what they do. Cross-genre, exuberant, tasteful, deep and light at the same time. The production has been around for 12 years and it's no exaggeration to say that it's one of the most exciting groups currently operating on the Hungarian live music scene. Funk, soul, brokenbeat and hip-hop traditions have been the foundation of their beginnings, and with their second album they have set their sights on the world of disco. Their eclectic sound is elusive but all the more fun. Its members are highly experienced musicians who, through their various projects, have forever etched their names in the musical history of Budapest nightlife. Their second album won the Fonogram Award for Best Hungarian Contemporary Light Music Album.
