Ádám Breier, film director, Albert Márkos, composer, and his fellow musicians Ádám Jávorka and Ádám Móser.

As part of the Uránia National Film Theatre's Film/Music series, the Lefkovics mourn the success of the screening and concert:

The Lefkovics make music again in Bem.

The mini-concert and screening will be followed by a discussion on the creative process that preceded the creation of the music. What each of the creators thinks about the role of music in films, and in this film in particular, and how it all developed in comparison. The audience will even be treated to a little film music demonstration.

About the film:

Tamás Lefkovics, a big-hearted but stubborn boxing coach (Zoltán Bezerédi), has had such a bad relationship with his son Iván (Tamás Szabó Kimmel) that they haven't spoken for years. Iván has fled to Israel to escape the conflict with his father, and as an Orthodox Jew he lives and has started a family there, keeping in touch only with his mother (Ágnes Máhr) from Budapest. After the unexpected death of his mother, Iván returns home with his six-year-old son (Leo Gagel) to sit a week of mourning, or shiva, in his parents' house, in accordance with Jewish tradition. Through the two men, two worlds are pitted against each other, with the reunification of the family at stake.

Location

Bem Cinema

In January 2016, the 108-year-old Bem Cinema will reopen its doors to the public, in a new way never seen before in Hungary: as a cinema of cult and classic films (no harm!), or as the educated French say (if you know your English): as a "repertory cinema".
