Bolcsó-Mayne-Kitzinger (BMK) live

BMK (BolcsóMayneKitzinger) is an ambient/experimental/spontaneous audiovisual improvisation trio. Oli Mayne (UK/Germany) plays Korg Minilogue XD synthesizers, loops and effects, and Bálint Bolcsó plays laptop (Max/MSP) and iPad-based live electronics. Gábor Kitzinger's live 3D visuals are connected in many ways, breathing with the music as it is being created in the moment.

Both musicians in the Budapest-based trio are well-known figures in the city's free improvisation scene, having performed with countless musicians and formations, from András Wahorn (A. E. Kommission etc.) to Gábor Presser (LGT), Veronika Harcsa, Acoustic Manual Techno Party, István Grencsó and the Budapest Improvisers Orchestra. Over the years, they have toured Europe's concert stages individually with names such as Christian Kobi, Eddie Prévost (AMM), Hawkwind a Faust, and Shabaka Hutchings (The Comet is Coming).

Bolcsó and Mayne started playing together at the end of 2017, and since 2019 they have been joined by Gábor Kitzinger, a member of the Budapest-based collective Kiégő Izzók, who has toured the world with his installations and video works, and now regularly performs and holds workshops in Italy, Turkey, Egypt and Germany.

Their debut concert was so well received that Prepost Records has released a limited edition cassette entitled "A Huge Ever-Growing Pulsating Sound That Rules From The Center Of Lumen". This was followed in 2020 by the cassette "Die Mensch Meier" (https://bolcsomayne.bandcamp.com/album/die-mensch-meier), which this time pays a similar tribute to Kraftwerk.
