Fjelbu x Vmlavt Caesar Live Act | Csengerinart Pop-Up exhibition - EDITH

On 22 May 2024 at 8 pm, we are looking forward to welcoming you to Edith, where Viktorina Csengeri's pop-up exhibition and Fjelbu and Vmlavt Caesar's live act will take place.

With my drawings I want to depict surreal stories and dreams that I have personally experienced.

I work mostly with needle felt, because with this medium I can immerse myself endlessly in creating different organic, natural images - every line bends, curves, turns or spirals. I use a variety of surfaces as a base for these, such as woodcuts and circular canvas.

With experience in several musical formations behind him, the melodic world of his independent project as a producer from Budapest is sonically saturated, building a rich emotional whole harmonizing organic and electronic musical elements. All this is set in a melodic house/downtempo music genre so light, where the listener can find his own emotional struggle with closed eyes in the narrative, image-painting structure of the songs. His synthesized live act from his soon-to-be-released debut album will be heard throughout the evening.

VMLAVT CAESAR is a two-piece formation formed at the beginning of 2021, during the quarantine, by members of the band God & Monkey.

Their music combines elements of melodic techno, dark techno and progressive psytrance. They made their debut in Budapest, at Klub Vittlula in early 2022 with a live performance, then played several times at Szimpla and also appeared at Gólya at the invitation of KözMű. In the same summer they opened the exhibition of photographer Balázs Varga at the Random Gallery with an ambient set.

In 2024 they play monthly as a resident at Szimpla Kertben.
