LANTOS ZOLTÁN – CHIRAYU BHOLE DUÓ
Indo-Jazz, Ambient, Fusion... violin, electronics, tabla... Thousands of years of musical language, synthesis, 21st century interpretation... But always with respect, humility, drawing from the ancient Indian classical world of Raga, "pure source", traditional, but at the same time with a contemporary musical approach.

Zoltán Lantos lived and studied in India for 9 years, later returning several times for various concert tours. His studies there and his experiences in his musical travels around the world merge in his unique compositions and improvisational language.
Indian tabla player Chirayu Bhole carries on the traditions of his ancestors on his exotic percussion instrument.
The programme includes a number of traditional North and South Indian ragas, sometimes enriched with elctronics and superimposed solos, alongside his own compositions.

The Open Workshop is a fine place, a place where many different kinds of people can feel at home, which is to say that there is something that is rare and difficult to create, the spirit of the place. This spirit is very sympathetic to me, because it means both that there are shows that interest me and that the occasional stew is okay. And that I'm likely to meet people there who I'm happy to meet, and it's not even out of the question that they're me. Such public (open) spaces are rare in Budapest.
