The soldier's story
A reimagining of one of the gems of Russian folklore: with desires, temptations, deceit and mischief, in rhyming prose, music, dance and puppets. A grotesque tale in rhyming prose, dance, live music and puppets.

Schedule
In our version, Russian soldiers tell each other the story of Joszip, the escaped soldier.
Soldiers in every age and in every war face similar horrors. Torn from their families and their homeland, they become the callous cogs in a killing machine and by the time they get home, if they get home, they are no longer who they were.
We will refrain from direct references to the present day, and anyone who expects to discover such a thing in the performance will know it to be an act of chance.
