Schedule

The names Klára Hajdu and Milán Szakonyi will sound familiar to jazz and popular music fans alike.

Klára is a prominent singer-songwriter and teacher in the Hungarian jazz scene. The songs of her 15-year-old, two-time Fonogram-nominated quartet are played on radio stations from Europe to Mexico and streamed in over 30 countries.

Milán is one of Hungary's most distinctive vocalists, who has been a mainstay of the Hungarian popular music scene for 10 years, in addition to singing with the Fonogram-winning Elemér Balázs Group. He sings and plays with Boggie and Romhányi Áron.

The unique style of Klára and Milán's duo is subtle acoustic music, in which elements of pop and jazz are tastefully blended.

The duo has been working together for 7 years and has sung in Munich, London, Canada and even the USA.

Their first joint composition "You're Gonna Rise" has also caught the attention of the industry, as it was selected as one of the TOP30 songs of 'A Dal 2019'.

They are currently working on their first album together. Their concerts are usually accompanied by guitar and looper, but for this special event they will be joined by great musicians to perform their previously released songs live for the first time in their original orchestral arrangements.

Featuring:

Gábor Antal - piano

György Szentgallay - bass guitar

Molnár Mátyás - drums

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
