Kobuci Dancehall
VI Óbuda World Music Week in Kobuci Garden!
"Forty years ago, in 1984, Antal Fekete, Béla Kása, Marci Kodoba, Béla and Misi Radák were all at a wedding in Magyarpalatka and Mezőkeszüben. Legendary names behind legendary people.
It was like a fairy tale: the orchestra from Palatka played fabulous music, Béla Kása photographed them and Antal Fekete made one of his most famous recordings. It is thanks to them that forty years later we can see and hear the miracle that the musicians of Magyarpalatka were capable of 40 years ago.
And here with us today are Béla Kása, Antal Fekete, Misi Radák's son, Márton Kodoba's son and two of the musicians' grandchildren. And thanks to all of them we, the students and fans, are here.
This alone could become a legend..."

Schedule
Fanfara Complexa was founded in 2002 as a dance-hall band and since then it has been a constant and popular participant of dance-halls in Budapest and the countryside. Since 2002 they have been regular participants of the Somoska Village Days, which take place every summer, where they can play music and learn in a Moldavian Csángó environment - and get involved in the life of the village. Their music is based on authentic Moldavian-Changarian folk music and the new styles of serba, hora and manele. The band, following the most ancient function of music, plays mainly dance music, but they also enjoy giving concerts and taking part in musical street parades.
Ticket prices:
Advance booking: 1500 Ft
On the day of the dance: 2000 Ft.
Tickets for the 20-hour event are valid from 19:00, so you can get one ticket for both events on 27 June.
Kobuci kert
World music evenings, jazz stories, underground, folk music in all its forms and some very serious blues. All this at Kobuci, one of Budapest's best outdoor venues with a garden.
