Shantel and the Bucovina Club Soundsystem bring the explosive energies of electro-Balkan club culture and dance music to the stage of the Garden.
As a descendant of Bukovinian Germans, Shantel was almost the first to bring an authentic cosmopolitan sound to contemporary pop culture when he instantly became the voice and face of a brand new genre worldwide with his mega-hit Disko Partizani.
His musical world draws on his rich family heritage, combining a myriad of traditions from electronic music to gypsy brass bands. As a producer and DJ, he sees the art of fusion as a dialogue between theory and practice, freely blending tradition and modernity, analogue and digital techniques.
Shantel's music crosses geographical and cultural boundaries in a compelling way: starting out in the Frankfurt club Lissania Essay, he is now on his way to large global projects. His albums such as "Disko Partizani" and "Istanbul" challenge simplistic genre classifications, breaking down boundaries and celebrating a musical landscape of diversity.

The Hét Hat Club was born in the Budapest underground, where art-punks from the ruin pubs, international nomads and dance-hall-going gypsies meet. Seven Six Club street musicians have toured Europe, North, Central and South America. They have collected colourful rhythms and stylistic elements to bring back Hungarian and Carpatho-Balkan folk songs in a modern form. Kjartan Code - the American outlaw - sings in English, Hungarian, Romanian, Spanish and Turkish, along with his own lyrics. Their musical style is often referred to as: gyp-hop, maneleton, turbo folk jazz.
