The A38 Ship anchored in the main square of Budapest's cultural life twenty years ago. We celebrate twenty years with twenty nights. Concerts, parties and You! All those who have made the last twenty years possible. Celebrate with us in April and May at A38's birthday events. After the exciting return of the classic TILOS PARTY at the beginning of the year, the Tilos Radio crew will be back on board the A38 with another line-up spanning the ages to celebrate the anniversary!
This time around, legendary Gimmeshot Crew founder and former Eat Da Beat and Totoya Klub DJ MANGO will be taking the booth with a hip-hop based hybrid set
DJ CADIK made radio history as the driving force behind Jungle Book/Totoya Klub; to this day he is an unrivalled icon of local bass music, often showcasing his latest creations during his playtime. Mentalien is perpetuating the history of Jungle Book with his deep musical knowledge and soul (together with co-producer DJ Ren), this time drawing from the mid-tempo house - garage - break genres. Benc has been maintaining the hiphop - bass - electronic creative base for years as a Totoya Klub producer with a variety of themes, but during the night he will be selecting from his oldskool hardcore-jungle records.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
