On debut album How Do You Sleep At Night? he's brighter than ever, full of joyful self-awareness, wistful honesty and effortless versatility. The LP's first single, the autobiographical "Familiarity," is embellished with feather-fluffed falsetto vocals and vital confusion, where Teezo recalls his decision to seek musical superstardom. In "Daddy Mama Drama," he dives into sentimental acoustic guitar to reflect on family struggles. In "You Thought", he splices tightly woven rapping into scorching drums and blazing electric guitar into an anthem of tongue-lashing in which he stretches ironically. On its first release, How Do You Sleep At Night? received high praise from fans and media alike. Rolling Stone called it "the future of rap-rock" and GQ called it "one of the most exciting debuts in years," among other accolades from NPR, the Los Angeles Times, CLASH, UPROXX and many other publications. The success of How Do You Sleep At Night? allowed him to join Travis Scott on the CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour.
Teezo emerged as the son of a DJ in 2020, a year in which he released singles such as "Bad Enough," "Rooting For You," "Careful," "SUCKA!," "Strong Friend" and "Social Cues." The innovative videos for these releases propelled Teez into national consciousness, where he has remained ever since. He gained more attention in 2021 when he was featured on Tyler, The Creator's standout track "RunItUp" Call Me If You Get Lost before joining Tyler on tour for the album. In the same year, he also gained recognition in the fashion world when he appeared in campaigns for Telfar and Heaven by Marc Jacobs. Since then, he has collaborated with Drake ("Amen," "7969 Santa"), Travis Scott ("Modern Jam"), Don Toliver ("Luckily I'm Having"), Paris Texas ("Full English"), Lil Yachty ("The Ride-") and others. The new music only adds to that list. Teezo's leveling up is the result of goals he set for himself years ago, and with the release of How Do You Sleep At Night? he can now achieve bigger dreams.
