Schedule
Budapest Bar has become one of Hungary's most popular bands with their heartbreaking and heartwarming gypsy covers. The band owes its magical appeal to its excellent musicians and cult singers of Hungarian rock music.
Budapest Bar, originally born on a single album, has been operating for 15 years with twelve singers and a completely unique line-up - perhaps that is why it has become the most sought-after concert band, a regular at festivals and on big stages.Budapest Bar's trademark unique style has its roots in the cafés of 1920s and 1930s Budapest. They reinterpret well-known and popular songs based on gypsy music, combining jazz, pop, rock, klezmer and many other musical genres.
The original intention of Róbert Farkas, the leader and founder of Budapest Bar, was precisely to give a new impetus to the genre of café gypsy music, keeping alive and renewing old traditions. Thanks to the orchestra, long-forgotten tunes have become part of the public consciousness and the culture of young people. Many old songs have been dusted off, forgotten ones revived, well-known ones given a new look, and recently many new songs have been written. Ages, cultures, styles and age groups come together in this production - perhaps that's why young and old alike love the group, which has become a multi-generational favourite.
The Budapest Bar is a music that cycles between styles and breaks away from the everyday.
Music of joy for open ears!
