Gorg & Benzol

If you think that Gorg & Benzol are going to give you easy-going light music, or even extremely easy to absorb fusion jazz, you're wrong. Music theory oddities, hectic shifts to techno or Latin, stomach-turning and love songs hand in hand. The exciting thing is that they never know where they're going, but the point is that at least they get there in the end.

Minko (NL)

The Dutch band Minko comes from a small town called Dordrecht.

Brothers Dusty and Darryl Ciggaar and their close friend Nick Croes have known each other for nearly 20 years. They have a certain chemistry that is hard to put into words. From an early age, they learned to play under the wings of their fathers and uncles. They paved the way for them in a time when frothy iced tea was the drink of choice. Obviously that has changed.

Although they remained close friends, they went their separate ways. One starry night in Bali, after long days of making music, the boys looked at each other and said: shouldn't we play our own music?

That set the tone for the years to come. It was the dawn of a new era, when the band started working on new music.

They soon teamed up with their mate Tammo Deuling and the band was complete. Minko found its backbone and took off!

Get ready for passionate rock & roll, country-soul, roots, sentimental punk songs, rhythm and blues and everything else that comes along with it.

Location

A38 Ship

Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
