Brooklyn's A Place To Bury Strangers is a perfect fit for Chelsea Wolfe's brooding world. With roots in post-punk, the trio, led by guitarist/noise genius Oliver Ackermann, have created a unique and quite ingenious amalgam of noise rock, industrial and psychedelic rock.

The bands APTBS has opened for over the last dozen years, from Brian Jonestown Massacre to Jesus And Mary Chain, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Nine Inch Nails and MGMT, tell you a lot. Of course, the sound and noise madman Ackerman, who experiments with unique sounds not only as a musician but also as an electrician, played a huge role in this. He designed and soldered his own huge pedalboard and made custom pedals for Lou Reed, My Bloody Valentine, the Flaming Lips and Trent Reznor.
From this, it's easy to see why the guitar plays a prominent role in APTBS' music. Exactly what you wouldn't imagine you could do with a guitar. The most amazing effects, excitement, crushes and noises swirl around, while the drums crash ominously and the echoing vocals float overhead.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
