PLINI, the Australian guitarist and composer who has been praised by Steve Vai as one of the best instrumental guitarists on the planet, and who has also been named "the world's best prog guitarist today" by Music Radar, will perform at the A38 Ship. We can hear the virtuoso guitarist live at the A38 Ship on 22 August.

PLINI is an independent solo artist from Sydney, Australia. PLINI simultaneously makes music, plays guitar, records, produces and manages his unique brand of instrumental progressive rock - all from his bedroom. The talented guy's music has been praised by the likes of Steve Vai, who described his critically acclaimed debut album "HANDMADE CITIES" as "one of the best, forward-thinking, melodic, rhythmically and harmonically deep, evolution of rock/metal instrumental guitar records I've ever heard". PLINI was named "the world's best current prog guitarist" by Music Radar in 2017.
In 2017 and 2018, PLINI embarked on highly successful headline tours in Europe, the UK, India, North America and Australia. These tours have brought him dozens of sold-out shows on some of the world's most iconic small stages, including the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles, London's Islington Assembly Hall and Melbourne's Corner Hotel. This was followed by the release of the "SUNHEAD" EP in mid-2018 and a subsequent world tour of Europe, North America, Asia.
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
