Erkel Ferenc Prize-winning composer and jazz pianist János Nagy founded his trio in 1994. The ensemble played with world-renowned saxophonist David Murray at the 2001 Mediawave Festival, and was voted Jazz Event of the Year by the critics of Gramophone Magazine. The bandleader has appeared at numerous festivals at home and abroad, and has played with musicians such as Al Di Meola, Alex Acuna, Bernard Maseli, Dave Samuels, Dominique DiPiazza, Kim Plainfield, Krzysztof Scieranski, Garry Willis, Mike Stern and Paco Sery.
