Szabó Dániel Trio

A kaleidoscope, or a rapid succession of colourful changes - one could describe the repertoire in this way, which is nevertheless shaped into a unity by the unique language of the composer's personality. Many personal stories, momentary impressions, memories, feelings and emotions inspire Szabó's compositions, who is as at home in the intricate structures of overseas, African-American rhythms or the complex harmonies of jazz as he is in the language of Central and Eastern European, classical and folk music. It is perhaps due to his deep love of literature, theatre and film that Szabó's music almost always tells a story, which, whether it runs on one or several threads, is full of tensions, resolutions, strong characters and atmospheres. He introduces the audience to this personal, rich world with his two fellow musicians, with whom he also works in other formations.
