HANGADÓ JUNIOR - WHAT MAKES MUSIC MUSIC?

2024-10-19T08:30:00.000Z

If you've browsed through the Hungarian House of Music's family programmes, you probably don't need convincing that MUSIC is a good thing. And that it is good, important, useful - and the list goes on - to make friends with it from an early age. The question is: why exactly? What is music 'good' for? And while we're at it: what makes music music music? Last season, the Hangadó Junior series was a huge success at the House of Music, so we're repeating it and even offering it as a season ticket!

Schedule

On these occasions, we take a look at one of the big questions in music (and life, of course), in the style of an entertainment show, with lots of games and laughter. Through permanent columns such as funny music history, music together, or an art analysis tournament. In the first of the series, we're going to get right to the heart of what music is all about. (We'll tell you: yes. Just not all of them are worth making music from! 😁) Can anyone make music? (Sure! If you come, we'll prove it!) What do you need to make music? (Let's leave something for the show! 😉) Besides all these essentials, we won't forget the most important thing: having fun.

Feri Tarr, the House of Music's concert teacher, author of the popular book "Harmony, the realm of music" and invited guest, is responsible for this. This time he is none other than Balázs Alpár, composer, film composer (e.g. Kuflik and Bab Berci series), musician (Fugato Orchestra, Fele Kingdom), teacher, one of the smartest and most entertaining musicians. The two of them will hopefully lead everyone home not only with a (good) experience, but also with the question: well, what kind of music is there? That's what the next edition of Hangadó Junior on 30 November will be all about!

Location

Budapest

The best things to do in Budapest! Several medieval bridges connect the 2 sides of the city that give it its name: Buda and Pest. Cruising along the Danube is a great way to see Budapest in all its glory.
